In rural Chariton County, Missouri sits an abandoned Chevrolet farm truck, secluded under an aging carport attached to a vacant farmhouse. The rusty vehicle sits like a sentinel watching everything, a perfect subject for my light painting photography. I used three Quantum Trio wireless flash units to shoot this scene. The flash to the left had a red gel, the one on the right had a green gel, and on the interior of the truck, I used a blue gel. A handheld flashlight with a yellow-orange gel was used to illuminate the rafters from behind the truck. I used the dependable Canon EOS 5D Mark IV in bulb mode with an exposure time of 92 seconds. I triggered the flashes with a Quantum Pilot.

The photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera with a EF16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens at ƒ/4.0 with a 92-second exposure at ISO 100. The processing was done with Adobe Lightroom CC.
