I have a vast archive of photos of Columbia, Missouri, and the surrounding counties. I often provide stock art photography to magazine publishers and editors for stories concerning the local area. Publications such as Missouri Life, Show-Me Missouri Magazine, and Inside Columbia have asked for my contributions in the past. Recently, Blake Dinsdale, the art director of the Mizzou Alumni Magazine, asked me to submit some photos for an article entitled “Who Was I in College,” written by noted sportswriter Wright Thompson. Blake used several of my pictures for the interior pages as well as the cover. It’s always an honor to have my work selected for the front cover. The cover is the hardest slot to get in the magazine publishing world. The editor used a picture of Broadway during sunset in downtown Columbia, Missouri. I initially took the photo for Alley A Realty as part of a commercial photography assignment I did a few years ago.

The photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera with a Canon EF16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens at ƒ/22.0 with a 5-second exposure. It was processed with Adobe Lightroom CC.
