Recently, I went on a photo drive to Chamois, in Osage County, Missouri. I decided to take the back roads on my return home. My GPS unit guided down some previously untraveled gravel roads. The area borders the Ozark plateau and is heavily forested. As I drove down the dusty road under the forest canopy, I saw many scenic views. I approached a beautiful spot under the trees with the winding road extending into the foreground. I used my 42 megapixel Sony Alpha a7R II mirrorless camera to take a picture of the scene. The camera has a tremendous dynamic range, and the full-frame sensor captures all of the luscious details of the landscape. Here’s one of the photos I took on my drive home.

The photograph was taken with a Sony ILCE-7RM2 camera with a Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens at ƒ/8.0 with a 1/30-second exposure at ISO 50. The processing was done with Adobe Lightroom CC.
