Last Autumn, I did some drone photography above the Shooting Star Trail in Columbia, Missouri. The trail is part of the Gans Creek Wild Area Trail System in Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. The serene pathway winds through forested hollows surrounded by rugged cliffs. During the height of the Fall, the verdant green hues of forest canopy transform into vibrant yellow, orange, and red tones.

I flew over the trees to take some photos of Gans Creek, which meanders through the picturesque landscape. I took this photo of the stream, which can be seen as an s-curve in the resulting picture. The flowing arcs create an interesting compositional device that draws the viewer into the photo. The photograph was taken with a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone with a Hasselblad L1D-20c camera at ƒ/2.8 with a 1/80-second exposure at ISO 100. I processed the resulting DNG file with Adobe Lightroom CC.
