I was honored to take architecture photographs at the Center for Missouri Studies Art Gallery featuring the works of Thomas Hart Benton. My painting teacher and mentor Sid Larson was a student of Benton’s, so I feel a strong connection to Benton’s work. Sid Larson also restored many of Benton’s paintings in the collection at the Center. The Center for Missouri Studies Art Gallery is located in the new State Historical Society of Missouri‘s building on Elm Street in downtown Columbia, Missouri, and is open to the public.
The photograph was taken with a Sony ILCE-7RM3 camera with a Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM lens at ƒ/8.0 with a 0.8-second exposure at ISO 50. The processing was done with Adobe Lightroom CC.
