I was excited when the State Historical Society of Missouri hired me for event photography at their grand opening ceremonies for the new Center of Missouri Studies. The new building is located on Elm Street in downtown Columbia, Missouri, and is open to the public. Funding for the new construction was secured with a bipartisan effort by the Missouri State Legislature and signed by then-Governor Jay Nixon. The building was designed by Gould Evans of Kansas City. Executive Committee Chairman Bob Priddy and Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony that happened on August 10, 2019.
The photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera with a Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens at ƒ/8.0 with a 1/200-second exposure at ISO 200. The processing was done with Adobe Lightroom CC.
